Tracii Guns, born Tracy Richard Irving in 1966, is an American guitarist best known as a founding member of the glam metal band L.A. Guns. Emerging from the Los Angeles music scene in the mid-1980s, Guns' style is characterized by a blend of hard rock, glam metal, and punk influences. He played a pivotal role in the sound and image of the band, which became synonymous with the Sunset Strip's rock scene during the hair metal boom. L.A. Guns gained mainstream success with their self-titled debut album in 1988, featuring hits like "Sex Action" and "Electric Gypsy." The band's follow-up, "Cocked & Loaded" (1989), further solidified their place in rock history, with tracks like "The Ballad of Jayne." Guns' guitar work and songwriting have influenced a generation of musicians, contributing to the glam metal genre's legacy.
